The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We handle it carefully and set out below how we process personal data when you visit this website.
1. Controller and contact
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is foom GmbH, Auguste-Viktoria-Str. 32, 14193 Berlin. You can reach us by post or by email at info@foom.de. For any data protection matter you can contact us at any time by email at info@foom.de or at our postal address.
2. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding personal data relating to you:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details above or in our imprint.
3. Data processed when you visit this website
When you use this website for information purposes only, your browser transmits technical data to the server so that the page can be delivered and kept secure: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the HTTP status, the amount of data transferred, the referring website, and your browser, operating system and language. This data is processed to display the site to you and to protect its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website.
4. Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it.
Google Analytics is loaded only after you agree via the cookie banner. Until you agree, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. When you agree, Google Analytics stores cookies on your device (for example _ga and _ga_ID, with a lifetime of up to two years) and processes usage data such as the pages you view, events you trigger, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and a randomly generated identifier for your browser or device. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address.
The legal basis for storing and reading information on your device is Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG); the legal basis for the subsequent processing of personal data is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by choosing Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or by deleting the cookies in your browser. Withdrawal removes the analytics cookies and stops further collection.
Your consent choice itself is stored locally in your browser so that we can respect it and do not ask you again on every page. This storage is strictly necessary to honour your choice and does not require consent.
5. Data transfers to third countries
Google Analytics may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. The United States does not currently have a level of data protection equivalent to that of the European Union. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, and on the European Commission standard contractual clauses together with additional safeguards.
6. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or by post, we store the information you provide, for example your name, email address and the content of your message, in order to handle your enquiry. We delete this data once it is no longer needed, or restrict its processing where statutory retention obligations apply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. This website has no contact form; enquiries reach us only through the email addresses we publish.
7. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose concerned or as required by law, and delete it once that period ends.
8. No automated decision-making
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The current version always applies.
